One-to-one training is ideal if you need a more personal approach to your fitness needs. I’ll work with you to seek and achieve your goals, taking into account your individual requirements. Through varied plans and workouts, we will get you fitter, healthier and feeling more energised. If you enjoy working out with a friend or partner, I offer discounted rates.

Personal Training is exactly that: personal. I will listen to what you want to get out of our sessions, I will plan accordingly and I will help and encourage you all the way. Do you have specific targets? Maybe you want to beat your PB at Parkrun, improve your bootcamp technique, or shift that stubborn belly fat? Or do you just want someone to plan your exercise regime for you, as you have enough on your plate juggling work and home life already? If so, let me help you. Step by step, week by week, we will progress towards getting you stronger, fitter and healthier. I will go above and beyond your expectations so that you can go that extra mile.
I aim to deliver professional, friendly and encouraging sessions. I will help you maximise your potential, giving you that extra push when you need it. I will coach you, keeping an eye on your form, keeping you in the zone and not letting you give up. Interested in how the body works and which exercises and programmes might suit you best? Want to hone your technique and keep discovering new things about fitness? Worried about old injuries and niggles? Knowledge is power and I am always keen share what I have learnt. Rather than just saying ‘do this, do that’ I will explain in as much detail as you like the processes involved, keeping the sessions informative and interesting. Or, do you just want to be told what to do and for how long?! This is fine too; I’ve been in the army and I’m happy to oblige!
After-care is also important. I will happily advise on everything from stretching, foam rolling, keeping active during the week, nutrition, hydration and sleep. Clients come to me with a variety of postural differences, fitness levels and issues caused by past injuries. I will always adapt the training to suit you and your needs, planning around you and your body. I know my scope of practice and will gladly recommend other trusted professionals such as physiotherapists, osteopaths and nutritionists if needed.
Matt brings great energy and lots of variety to his workouts, taking into consideration my shoulder issue and adapting exercises for me. He’s very encouraging but don’t be fooled by his smile: he always pushes you when he knows you can give more! I always come away feeling that I’ve accomplished something and that I’ve worked hard – a winning combo!
